Fixed wing air ambulance ( aircraft) – based at GAMA Aviation, Hangar 3, Aberdeen airport East, AB21 7DT ( Next to the BOND hangar)
EC135 air ambulance Helicopter is based at Inverness airport.
Helipad on site adjacent to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, although it is preferable to land at the airport
Neonatal Transport Team is based within the Maternity hospital.

Parent accommodation: There is parent accommodation for parents that have come from Shetland, Orkney and Wick, and possibly from Inverness and Elgin, depending on availability. This is in the “Islands accommodation” within the maternity hospital. Basic cooking facilities and laundry facilities are available in the Islands accommodation.
Parentcraft: Parents may be able to “ room in” for a few nights with their baby prior to discharge home. There are 3 of these rooms available in the neonatal unit.
