Access
Road
Directly accessible from the M8. If Westbound leave motorway at Junction 15 (signposted A803, Kirkintilloch), turn left at Castle Street then left again along Alexandra Parade. The ambulance entrance is on Wishart street which is first right off Alexandra parade, second entrance (after the one with the barrier) on the right.
If coming from the West, take the right hand slip exit (Signposted Cathedral, A803, Springburn. Turn left at the T junction and this will take you on to Alexandra parade. Follow directions as for westbound from this point.
Air
Fixed wing: Glasgow airport is accessible via the M8.
Helicopter: Helipad in West of City (Stobcross Road, Glasgow G3 8QQ), access via M8 and Clydeside Expressway (A814).
Local access
Enter via Wishart street entrance- this is level -1.
Lifts are on your right near the entrance- swipe card needed. Security desk a little further on on your right hand side should be able to help if no swipe card, or call buzzer by door (goes to labour ward) and ask for access.
The neonatal unit is on level 4. Come out of the lift area and turn right, follow the corridor round to your left, the entrance to NNU is on your right at the end. Swipe/buzzer entry required, turn left then left again and you’re in SCBU, follow the corridor along and NICU is ahead of you
