Transport Options:
Lochgilphead is a long way by road. When deciding re mode of transport the team should assess the clinical need and bear in mind rational use of air ambulance resources.
Air
- There is a helipad at the hospital
 - In addition there is a helicopter landing site 5 minutes by ambulance from the hospital, on an area know as the green at the head of loch Fyne.
 
Road
- 2.5 hours from Glasgow, poor roads.
 
Local Access:
- Via A&E to the “Craignish ward” maternity unit on the ground floor.
